Our Principles
Factual Record
We provide a platform for citizens and councils to share an accurate, unedited record - nothing more, nothing less.
Ambiguity breeds suspicion.
Facts create clarity.
Courage as a Community
By providing factual information and access to it, a community can act together as a positive force.
We hope to reduce isolation, intimidation and fear.
Communities are powerful forces for positive change.
No Heroes, No Villians
We're not here to glorify citizens or demonise councillors.
We provide a factual record.
We're not here to create a narrative.
Respectful Conduct
Recordings must be made openly, respectfully, and without disruption.
Our aim is not conflict, but contribution.
Peaceful behaviour is powerful.
Supported by Law
UK law encourages openness. Councils may lack the resources to provide recordings - citizens can bridge that gap.
The Openness of Local Government Bodies Regulations 2014 in England allows us to record.
Better Councils
Life as a public official isn't easy.
By fostering a culture of accountability, we can attract people who serve with integrity. People our communities are proud of. People who are proud to serve.
